Training A Child
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
In a blink of an eye, before you know it, your child is on her way to begin their journey in life. It is our duty, as a parent to install the teachings of the Lord within them so that he can unlock his wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in their heart. As you train your child in the ways of the Lord, you will see the fruit of your labor and how God is manifesting in your child. Even if your child decides to veer off, they will always return to the Lord because the Lord's ways are rooted in her heart.
Training our child in our ways can cause us to miss a few steps in raising them, or hinder them. For instance, in some cases, we may be too lenient in a situation which can only cause that child to slip further into disobedience. Or we can overlook the situation which causes the child to slip into further disobedience. That is why it is always great to teach your child the teachings of Jesus, so that his word remains in their heart, to guide them and to protect them.
For some of us raising children can be easy and for others, it can be difficult. But either way, we should always seek the Lord for his guidance when it comes to raising our children.
